Black History Month

St Mary's Catholic Primary School Newsround - Black History Month

Throughout Black History Month, St Mary's have been learning about influential Black men and women from throughout history. From activists to sports stars, we have created a whole school St Mary's Newsround report to highlight the importance of equality in today's society.

Black History Month

To celebrate Black History Month, each class was given one influential Black person to focus on. Each class researched their key figure, wrote a non-fiction piece of work about that person, presented their own Newsround segment and drew a portrait of their key Black figure.
